What the F*CK is PULP?!?!

We love Tampa. It’s got a strong scene, there are already some awesome shows and the kids here love to party late. But like other big cities in Florida (Miami and Orlando for instance) it’s hard to get smaller, less known performers to grace this great state with a live set, show or performance. That’s why we created PULP. It’s a weekly party at CZAR (in YBOR) spinning indie, electro, eclectic, punk, post punk and dirt core disco in three rooms. The consistent crowd gives us the opportunity to bring in some of the hippest talent from around the world — artists that normally couldn’t make the trek out to FL to play in front of only a handful of loyal audiophiles. PULP provides a home for those artists and we hope that the two sounds in the two rooms provide a home for the diverse tastes of our community.

• THE MAIN ROOM - Residents Pauly Crush, Bodywerx and Geon W. spin indie, electro remixes and straight up dance tunes with special guests monthly.

• THE SIDE ROOM - Residents Koolbreeze and Fame Thrower (electric heavyland) spin punk, post punk and dirt-core-disco all night. Nothing like circle pits and 68 different types of Vodka inches from the dj booth.

• THE IMPERIAL BALLROOM - is reserved for live performances that justify the large open spaces and ear blistering sound-system.

Why CZAR?
We’ve been partying in Tampa for a while and every bar has a super friendly staff, many have beautiful rooms and plenty have great soundsystems. However, CZAR’s decor and the ability to split the venue into multiple rooms made it a front-runner from the get go. In the end it came down to one question. Who is gonna get us drunk quickest? Time and Time again we went bar hopping and no one in town pours like the fun-loving sickos at CZAR. It’s just complete mayhem in there.
